Golden Plains Invitational ~ May 7 – 9, 2010 ~ A great meet for the Sharks!

The Kenora Swimming Sharks got some great press this week including an article on Golden Plains in Wednesday’s Kenora Miner and News. Post Meet Notes: This meet was a test of endurance for our swimmers. There were some really good swims by all of our kids. Those who did not make A or B finals still had some great improvements in their times. Congratulations to Bryce Jones who set a new Golden Plains meet record for his age group in the 200 Back by six seconds. Another highlight was Orion Demissie winning the 200 Back B Final in 3:10 which was 30 some seconds faster than his entry time! Way to Go Orion! All in all it was a good meet for all the Kenora kids.

Original Post: Fourteen KSS swimmers have registered to compete in this swim meet. Swimmers should have all received a listing of their events [these have been available at the pool for the past few days]. If not, they are posted on the pool deck bulletin board. All our swimmers have been training really well, so I’m looking forward to some really fast times in our first long course (50 meter) swim meet of the year.
