The Soggy Log ~ March 22-27, 2010

Welcome back everyone to the KSS 2010 Spring Session.  This is absolutely the very best time of the year to be swimming, as our outside temperatures warm up and we can finally see summer on the horizon.  This is also the most exciting time of the Swim Season as our swimmers reach the absolute pinnacle of their levels of physical fitness, and we will see some really incredible swimming and racing in the various swim meets over the next few weeks and months. Please look over the following “news” items and “reminders” about upcoming events and deadlines as we all get back into the swim of things.

Junior Sharks ½ Hour Program ~ Schedule Note: Our ½ hour JRS registration is large enough that we will maintain both groups (5:00 – 5:30pm and 6:00 – 6:30pm) as in our Fall and Winter Sessions

  • Do you know any young swimmers that would like to start in our JRS Program????  If so please get them to come out ASAP and we will fit them into an appropriate group
  • To help us add a few new swimmers into our JRS Program we would like to encourage all current JRS swimmer to BRING A FRIEND to swimming with them for the remainder of this week and all next week (March 29 – Apr 2).

Congratulations Paige ~ Swim Ontario has just announced that KSS swimmer Paige Murphy has earned a position on Team Ontario for the annual Tri Meet between Team Ontario vs Team Quebec vs Team Maritimes scheduled for the University of Toronto in May 2010.  This should prove to be just an incredible experience for Paige. She will get to train with all swimmers from all three teams on Tuesday PM, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with sessions run by coaches from all three teams plus many Swim Canada coaches, then she will compete in the Tri Meet on Saturday and Sunday at the U of T. This will be a fantastic educational and training experience for Paige, and her selection to this team is quite an honour for both her and the KSS program.  Well done Paige!!!!
