Edie Fisher

Edie has been the KSS Associate Head Coach since September 1995, when she joined Bruce in Kenora. After working as a nurse in hospitals in Vancouver, Campbell River and Fredericton, Edie returned to school and graduated from the Physical Education program at the University of Manitoba. She has been coaching the KSS Senior Group since 2002. During this time two KSS swimmers (Katy Murdoch and Laura Stasiuk) have qualified for Canadian Senior Nationals, as well as many KSS swimmers at the Youth and Junior National Levels.

Edie is an NCCP Certified Level 2 Certified Coach in Swimming. She is an active triathlete, and has won many Age Group medals at the ITU World Championships. Her latest accomplishment saw her finish in Second Place in her age group at the Hawaii Ironman World Championships in Kona in October 2007. Edie has once again qualified for and will be competing in the Hawaii Ironman World Championships in October of 2009.
