Black and Red Meet ~ June 6

On Saturday June 6, 2009 the 1^st Annual KSS Team Day was held and it was a great success! The Intraclub Black and Red meet saw some evenly matched teams go head to head in some exciting and fun races including a family relay. Thanks to all the parents who hopped in the pool at short notice to make this day as fun as it was!

Thanks to the Special Olympians who came out to join us, too! They were an excellent addition to our teams.

A very special thanks to all the families who volunteered their swimmers to come out and participate in tag day to support our team members travelling to Montreal for the Nationals. The contribution of time and team spirit was very impressive and the support means so much to those families sending their kids to the biggest meet of the year!

A good time was had by all at the Team Barbeque at Anicinabe Park on Saturday evening. Much appreciation to all the parents who helped out with special thanks going to Master Barbequer Joel Stoliker and Colleen Jones for arranging all the fixins.

C*O*N*G*R*A*T*U*L*A*T*I*O*N*S to Bruce and Edie who celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on Saturday by sharing their day with the team.

And the Victors? Red Team by a nose! Good work everyone!
